Istrian Nadeva
This is an old traditional dish from Istria that has been forgotten over time, so let's refresh the memory a bit ... Thank you dear Doris for the recipe :)
Preparation steps
- Mix grated cheese, crumbs, eggs, oil, salt and pepper and make a fine mass. Form into small sausages the size of kebabs, roll in flour and cook for about 15 minutes in chicken soup. The photo shows a variant of Nadeva with raisins, which I personally do not prefer. Rolling in flour is not necessary. It is desirable that the mass contains crumbs of at least 7 days of dried bread without crust, for better aroma.
Serving
The dish can be eaten warm with soup meat or roasted chicken, as well as a chilled stand-alone meal.
