Integral nettle donuts
Fast, fine and healthy! Very tasty at the same time!
Preparation steps
- Pick and boil the nettles in boiling water for about 10 minutes. Strain and when it cools down a bit, chop finely.
- Add egg, spices and flour to the finely chopped and cooled nettles. Mix well and add water. The density of the dough should be the same as for ordinary donuts (slightly denser than the dough for pancakes). Leave to stand for some 5-6 minutes.
- Heat the oil well, then take out the dough with a spoon and lower it slightly to the hot oil. Turn a couple of times and bake until both sides get a brownish color.
- Place the baked donuts on a kitchen towel to absorb excess fat (although they are not greasy, they do not absorb oil). And that's it ... enjoy a warm and delicious meal.
Serving
They were a complete meal for me today along with a cup of yogurt. Also, a good addition could be ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, ajvar, sour cream ... whatever you like. They can be served as a side dish with various types of meat.
