# hrostule

Crostoli with jam

It's masquerade time. So let’s start with one recipe from the new Italian issue of Sale & Pepe coming from Sanremo porcaine Liguria.

Crostule none Divne !!!

It's carnival time, I can't help but share with you the recipe for crostuli made by my mother-in-law Divna or our grandmother Mala as my Ariana called her. This will be the first time I've made them since she's gone, and I have to tell you that it is very difficult for me because everything reminds me of her and my dad who always asked me when she would come from her "did grandma send crostules"? With the memory of my two "Angels" who surely follow us, I still give you all this recipe.

Crostules

The people say "Holy Kata- snow at the door", and we used to say "Holy Katakrostule at the door". The recipe is old-fashioned, from Brač, it was passed on to me by my colleague. Her name was Katija and she was from Brač. Every year on Sv. Kata would banish on the office door in the morning with a bunch of beautiful crostuli. We were looking forward to it. Today all I have left is a recipe and a memory of her. In that name, I decided to share it with you. I give it to Kata, Katica, Katija and all of you. Try it and enjoy!

Crostules

great recipe :)

Crostuli

If you go along the Croatian coast from north to far south, you will find a dessert of that name on many tables. Although every housewife will confidently tell you that it is an autochthonous home-made dish, it is true that crostuli is also enjoyed by the English, who call them sweet fritters, sweet knots or sweet bows, but also by Italians who make crostoli. You will also find them on Polish menus called kruschik, as a Russian specialty: hvorost, and a specialty of Gorski Kotar cuisine: fanjki

Crostuli (soft)

Although crostules are said to have to be crispy, but why not soft…. (It is said - tastes are never discussed :)))))))))))

Csörögefánk or something like crostules

This is an old recipe for carnival cakes from my mother-in-law's notebook (treasury), and since it's time for farchangs, I'm sharing it with you ....

Hrstule

HRSTULE (hroštule)

My grandmother Kate lived modestly all her life and she always knew how to do a lot with a little. These are her crocuses that she always prepared for us.

"Hruštule"

This is a traditional cake that our grandmothers made. No wedding could go by without this being on the table. You just have to be patient and success is guaranteed !!!

Hvar hroštule (soft)

hroštule are a dish that is traditionally prepared in Dalmatia. They can often be seen at various celebrations, because they are not only delicious, but also look very nice.

KrhkE (PrhkE) Crostules No.2

Kroštule hvarske

I've struggled for years with various recipes and I haven't had much success, I think they would have eaten but that wasn't it, until one day an old experienced cook taught me. Here I am passing the lesson on to you too

'Torn Panties'

To me, this is a treat, dearer than any cake or cake! He took me back to my childhood, when my great-grandmother, the dazed Adela, made torn panties almost every week! Then I would know how to say to her: "You're making Torn Panties again!" She laughed and rolled small pieces of dough, on a small table! She smelled vanilla, she always had vanilla sticks! And right now I can conjure up that smell, taste and image!
