Hot chocolate and waffles — a real treat by Jamie Oliver

You already have the recipe for Jamie Oliver's hot chocolate on this site. But in order for the enjoyment to be complete, here are the waffles that he prepared with her.

Preparation steps

  • For the waffles: mix the egg and milk, add the flour, salt, sugar and baking powder, and mix everything together well. Add melted, then cooled butter and cinnamon and mix everything again. Leave this mixture for 30 minutes at room temperature. Heat either a bread machine or a grill pan, coat with a little butter and pour the mixture. If using an appliance, pour as much mixture as your appliance can hold. If you bake the waffles in a grill pan, pour the whole mixture immediately. Bake the waffles for 5 minutes (appliance) or a little longer in the grill pan. For the grill pan, you also need a large board, which you will put on the pan and thus turn the waffles over so that they are baked on the other side as well.

Serving

Serve hot waffles cut into sticks, if you baked them in a grill pan, with hot chocolate.
