Homemade nettle syrup ..
fine refreshing taste, gentle, light, drinkable, very healthy, for people with kidney disease, and helps with anemia ... very similar to homemade elderberry juice / called ... the season is young nettle, so try it, if you are not up to now!!
Preparation steps
- Young nettle / grill, wash well, and pour cold water. Orange, lemon or lime, grate, if you use homemade, or just squeeze the juice, add fresh juice, in a bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and leave for 24h. in a cool place. from time to time, mix well with a wooden spoon.
- The next day, strain, and add the sugar. Mix everything together well. In the spring, I made another variant: when the mixture was aged for 24 hours - I mixed all the ingredients together, - without squeezing the mass, which means young nettle, water, lemon-lime and sugar - 350 g. put on the fire and waited and stirred to boil.You, do as you wish!
- Put on the fire, only once to boil / do not cook. Cool. Fill clean bottles, and leave in a cool place, preferably in the refrigerator.
Serving
if you like a more sour taste, in that case, cut the nettle / grilled leaves, and add another lemon, or lime to taste.
