Gurabije ..

..ancient..autochthonous ... sweet..Bosnian cookies ... there are a couple of them..but they are all mostly "variations on the theme" .. of all the rc tried so far. grandmother's and mother's, this is my best ..

Preparation steps

  • FOR THE DOUGH: Butter, sugar, flour, with baking powder, ground walnuts, mix with a wooden spoon, then pour over warm honey. When the mass cools down a bit, add egg yolks, ground cinnamon, grated lemon zest and cloves if desired.
  • Make the dough and leave it in a cool place for about 20 minutes. Make small balls out of the dough. Arrange them on a baking sheet, with small gaps, so that they do not touch you during baking.
  • Bake them on a low heat 180C for about 20 minutes. be careful not to overcook them, sprinkle them warm with crystal sugar.

Serving

..Ingredients are for a large measure, if this is a lot for you, you can work in half a measure.
