Grits - Grit dumplings
Here is my favorite soup addition, today was beef soup with peas and carrots, and every soup is good for them, so let me share with you an old recipe ...
Preparation steps
- Beat egg salt, oil and parsley
- Add semolina spoon by spoon and stir
- Let the semolina swell for a while (see if it's too thin)
- Add a little more semolina if needed (but be careful)
- They should be a little thicker than liquid (like donut dough)
- Cook them with a small spoon or a large spoon to taste, in boiling soup (dip it and the dough will just fall off)
- Cook over low heat for about 15 minutes
Serving
To taste, of course if you have, you can add 1/2 teaspoon of ground mushrooms….
