Greek fast pie (spinacopita)
this pie is usually prepared with homemade or purchased crusts, and can also be made with puff pastry..this is a variation on the theme, with the same filling, but it is prepared with cast, salty dough and is easy to make :)) young homemade spinach, Greek yogurt and sir..if you haven't by now- my warm recommendation ..
Preparation steps
- preparation: you can use cheese of your choice, but for this pie it is best to chop feta cheese, and wash the spinach well, chop, sprinkle with a spoon or two of salt, leave a little, then gently squeeze the excess liquid. my advice (if you are not young spinach, then lightly blanch it and drain well) so that the pie does not have a bitter taste.you can replace spinach with chard, but it is the most beautiful pie for my taste with spinach. prepare cast, salted, batter: whisk whole eggs, add Greek yogurt, olive oil, mix flour with baking powder, add cheese, spinach, young cream-you don't have to, but I had and added, mix everything well, to ingredients blend without lumps.
- lightly pour the prepared mixture into a baking pan coated with olive oil and sprinkled with flour. bake the pie in a preheated oven at 180 degrees, 35 minutes.
Serving
baked pie, take out of the oven, cool, cut into desired shapes ..serve with yogurt or a drink to your taste ..good!
