Gratinated sardines
You will surely enjoy the sardines prepared in this way, because each ingredient will give its own note of taste, and the gratin will combine everything into an enticing taste of a fine dish.
Preparation steps
- Blanch the chard, drain, cool and dry. Heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add sliced garlic, sliced shallots and fry for 5-7 minutes.
- Then add the flour, fry it briefly, add the milk, then the cream, nutmeg, salt and pepper. Boil for 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce thickens. Allow to cool slightly.
- Stir in coarsely chopped chard, 130 g grated cheese and scrambled eggs.
- Pour half of the mixture into a greased cake tin (Ǿ 22 cm), then arrange half of the sliced sardines on it, repeat the arrangement, pour over the melted butter and bread crumbs, and sprinkle the remaining grated cheese on top.
- Bake for about 30 minutes at 200 ° C, or until golden.
Advice
If you have young chard, it is not necessary to blanch it. Just slice.
