Grandma Mace attached
My grandmother used to make these pastries whenever she would knead bread dough, she would separate a part of the dough and then, to the delight of us grandchildren, there were 19 of us. Grandma is no longer with us, but we often remember her and her addictions, so that it stays recorded and is not forgotten, I am writing this recipe. Thank you, Grandma Mace!

Preparation steps
- Knead as standard as you normally do plain bread dough. In the past, my grandmother used to make pies from the dough itself, and when she had it, she would sometimes add a few raisins
- When the dough has risen, break off a piece of dough
- shape the nuts, spread the dough
- Fry on one side and the other in hot oil for a few minutes.
- When they are done sprinkle them with crystal sugar or put a tablespoon of jam or nutella
- My favorites are without anything just sprinkled with sugar
- They must have these bulges on them and they should be hollow inside and then they are the best
