Gnocchi in plum sauce
I think about sweets and when I sleep, sometimes I wake up and write ... This is one of my favorite combinations!
Preparation steps
- For poppy seed crumbs:
- In a frying pan on butter, fry the crumbled biscuits until golden yellow. Add the ground poppy seeds and mix everything briefly.
- Cook the gnocchi in salted water according to the instructions on the package (approx. 2 minutes or until they come to the surface.) Take them out into the prepared crumbs and shake the pan.
- For plum sauce:
- Peel a plum and cut it into quarters. Place the sugar in a bowl with a thicker bottom and heat until it dissolves to a golden brown color.
- Drizzle with wine to dissolve the sugar completely. Add the prepared plums, vanilla sugar and cinnamon. Cook everything together for a few minutes, then stir in the cornstarch mixed in a little water until the sauce thickens.
Serving
Put plum sauce and gnocchi with crumbs on each plate. Sprinkle the crystal with sugar if desired.
