Ginger coffee (Kerala dry ginger coffee)
An excellent recipe for sore throat and cold, and is drunk mostly in winter, on cold days, when the temperature in Kerala drops to +25 C.
Preparation steps
- Mix all ingredients except coffee and let it boil in water. Cover and cook for another 5-10 minutes, depending on how strong the drink you want (the longer it cooks, the stronger the drink, but also better for the throat).
- Remove from heat and add coffee. Leave to stand for 5 minutes. Then stir and squeeze into a cup.
