Geese of St. Martin
. If you have decided to sacrifice a goose in honor of St. Martin, not a single goose has to pay with its head ... This is the ideal solution;) So may you have a happy holiday and baptism of the bridge into wine;);) and share with friends, in honor of St. Martin, who shared his military cloak with a poor beggar on the street;)
Preparation steps
- Mix all the ingredients into a smooth dough, roll out to a thickness of 5 millimeters and cut into molds. If desired, you can press almonds or raisins for the eyes, coat with egg yolk and sprinkle with coarse sugar.
- Place on a baking sheet, on baking paper and bake for about 15 minutes at about 200 degrees: =)
- They go well with mulled wine, tea or baby punch;) I managed to get the recipe from Sister Gerhardis, who is a cook in our kindergarten and has been cooking for 60 years. According to her estimates, she has made more than a million geese in her life;);)
