Gallic cake
... if you ask me why Gaelic, I wouldn't be able to tell you a meaningful explanation for the name of this beautiful cake, but it's been on paper among my recipes under that name for years, so keep it up :))
Preparation steps
- Biscuit:
- separate the egg yolks from the egg whites
- beat the margarine with the sugar and add the egg yolks one by one
- mix walnuts with flour
- melt the chocolate in a steam bath (I do it in the microwave)
- make solid snow out of egg whites
- lightly combine everything and bake in a mold with a diameter of 24 cm at 180 degrees C for 45 minutes Cream:
- eggs beaten with powdered sugar
- add sliced butter to make it easier to stir
- finally add the melted chocolate and vanilla sugar
- Cut the cooled biscuit in half and fill with cream, decorate at your discretion, cake cream, whipped cream, chocolate glaze
Serving
... when I make this cake I usually make a double dose and bake it twice, the diameter of my mold is 28 cm.
