Frozen melon
Melon (Cucumis melo L.) is a grateful vegetable for freezing and long-term maintenance in the freezer (until March or April next year). The beginning of August is the right time to leave a frozen mixture of at least two varieties of fragrant melon.
Preparation steps
- Washed melons cut into slices, clean from seeds and cut into pieces the size of 3x3 cm. Mix pieces of at least two varieties of melon and divide into portions for freezing. It is best to pack the melon pieces in suitable plastic boxes.
Serving
Thawed melon is a children's winter dessert dusted with crystal sugar and nutmeg. For adults, a few drops of rum or prosecco can be used.
