Fragrant homemade bread
The smell of warm, homemade bread is a real lure to indulge in fine food. It would be great if we could make fresh bread every day to start the day, but this simple recipe could become a routine at least on weekends, like our home. I recently got the recipe from a friend and adapted it a bit. The bread is fragrant, soft and juicy, and it is tasty and pliable the next day (which is rarely welcomed :)). The preparation is very simple, and in anticipation of a fine bite, the time to raise it flies by. While in the oven, the smell that spreads makes us more and more impatient, and when it arrives on the table, we indulge in pure pleasure.
Preparation steps
- Mix yeast and sugar in warm water and let stand for about half an hour.
- Stir salt, 2 tablespoons olive oil and yeast into the flour.
- Knead the dough with your hands until it stops sticking and separates from your hands and shape into a ball.
- Leave in a bowl covered with a cloth for 30 minutes.
- Put the baking paper in the baking dish, sprinkle it with a little flour and place the dough. As the dough no longer needs to be kneaded, just shape it into the desired shape and let it stand for another 15-20 minutes. Occasionally coat with lukewarm water.
- Preheat the oven to 200 ° C.
- Cut the dough shallowly.
- If desired, for an additional, very mild aroma, coat with a sprig of rosemary dipped in olive oil. You can also sprinkle the bread with different seeds, such as sunflower, flax, chie, etc. Lightly press the seeds into the dough so that they fall apart less later.
- Place in the oven and bake for about 20 minutes, depending on the strength of the oven or until it turns brown on the surface.
- Remove from the oven, cover with a clean cloth and let stand for about 10 minutes.
- Good apetite!
