There’s almost no puff pastry lover who hasn’t tried fornetti. Salty and sweet, ham, cheese, pizza, feta cheese, stuffed with cherries. From this same dough you can make delicious puff pastry. The recipe is from the net homemade recipes
Preparation steps
- For the filling, mix the jam with the thickener, into a smooth mixture without lumps. Put on the stove and bring to a boil over low heat. When it boils, let it cook for another 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and cool.
- Add fresh yeast, sugar and salt to the lukewarm liquid (water and milk) and mix with a spoon. Knead a soft and smooth dough with the gradual addition of flour. Cover with cling film and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- Roll out a rectangle on a floured work surface, then grate 2/3 of the frozen margarine.
