Preparation steps
- Clean the dried figs from the petals, cut them into smaller pieces then add to the sieve, add water and sugar and put everything to cook for 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and leave to cool a bit.
- While the figs are cooking, replace the dough with flour, brown sugar, a little salt and finely chopped cold butter. Knead to get a crumbly dough. Sprinkle or coat the baking tray with oil, roll out the dough into a baking tray 20X30 cm. and flatten with your hands, pressing the dough into the baking sheet.
- Boiled figs, TOGETHER WITH THE REST OF THE WATER FROM THE SERPICA put in a blender, add fresh lemon juice and blend everything together.
- Spread the mixture over the dough.
- In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract and egg.
- Pour the mixture over the figs, flatten and place to bake in a preheated oven at 180C for 30 minutes.
