Preparation steps
- Peel the apples and grate them on a large grater.
- Sprinkle sugar with a little water, add grated apples and ground walnuts. Cook the filling until a sticky thick mixture is obtained. Towards the end of cooking the filling, add margarine and a little grated lemon peel.
- Divide the mixture into two parts. Fill the first sheet of the wafer, arrange it over the biscuits by passing it through the apple juice. Then coat the remaining filling over the biscuits and fold in the second sheet of wafer. Leave the wafer to set and cut into cubes.
