Exotic jam made of orange, apricot, coconut and white chocolate
Whenever you want something different than you've done so far, here's for jam and marmalade lovers, a slightly more exotic version of apricot jam combined with oranges, as well as a light version with less sugar, large pieces of fruit and a combination of flavors that will delight you . Friends say that this is something new and beautiful that they tasted, and what thrilled them the most was that they enjoyed the pieces of fruit that dominated this jam. Easy to prepare, so please make yourself, your family and friends happy.
Preparation steps
- Wash the apricots, cut them in half and remove the stones. Grind them in a blender, gradually at the lowest speed, taking care not to grind them completely to the level of puree, but to leave pieces of fruit. Then pour them into the baking tin, then sprinkle sugar and coconut over them. NOTE: sugar for marmalades and jams Notadolce does not contain a preservative, but only pectin and lumic acid! For those who can't get this ready-made sugar mixture, you can also use ordinary sugar and add special pectin powder.
- Peel the oranges and remove the stones, cut them into slices and grind them, also in a blender, but only at the lowest speed so that they do not mash completely and so that larger pieces of fruit remain. Pour into a baking dish over apricots, sugar and coconut.
- Turn on the marmalade and jam program on the baking tray (it takes me 1 hour), and if you don't have a baking tray, you can also prepare it on the stove in a suitable dish, in which case you can cook it for less than 60 minutes. Approximately 5-10 minutes before the end of the program (cooking), add the ingredients listed in the following steps.
- Squeeze the lemons, you get about 100 ml of juice, and you can also use the pulp that remains after squeezing, in order to remove the stones.
- Break the chocolate into pieces or cubes.
- You can add only one bag of bourbon vanilla sugar, if you think the taste would be too strong, and it can be completely replaced with a few drops of rum-flavored aroma.
- Melt the gelatin according to the instructions on the bag: 1) In a bowl, mix the gelatin with 4 tablespoons of cold water. 2) Allow to swell for 10 minutes. 3) Heat (do not cook), stirring constantly, until the gelatin melts
- After the end of the program, immediately pour the hot jam into the heated jars, close them tightly, put them on the lid and leave them in that position for 5 minutes. Preheat the jars in the oven to 150˚C, 5 minutes before the end of the program, ie cooking.
Serving
You can use the jam to prepare other desserts, cakes, pies and fruit cups, and you can simply spread it on a slice of your favorite bread and enjoy a wonderful breakfast or snack.
