Elderberry ice cream
I made this recipe very, very, long ago.
Preparation steps
- Dissolve the sugar in boiling water, stirring gently. Put elder flowers in the sugar solution and leave covered for a while (1-2 hours).
- Strain the liquid and gently stir in the egg whites and lemon juice (the mixture must be semi-solid, carefully add the solution)
- Leave the mixture in the freezer for 2-3 hours with occasional stirring.
