Eid biscuits

whatever child comes to my door to congratulate Eid, instead of a bar of chocolate, this year they will get a packet of biscuits

Preparation steps

  • Mix the butter until it becomes completely fluffy.
  • Add sugar, vanilla sugar, baking powder, egg, vanilla essence, salt, a little cinnamon and milk and mix at maximum speed until the ingredients are completely combined.
  • Add the flour gradually and finally knead the dough by hand.
  • Wrap the dough in cling film and leave in the fridge for about an hour.
  • Take part of the dough part by part, store the rest in the refrigerator.
  • On baking paper roll out the dough to the desired thickness and cut out molds, in this case, the moon and stars.
  • Bake the biscuits on baking paper in a preheated oven at 175C for about 10 minutes (until the ends turn light brown).
  • Dissolve the food coloring with water in a bowl and when the biscuits are baked, coat them with a brush and return them to the oven to blow dry.

Serving

Biscuits are served to children with tea while you drink coffee :)
