Dried pea soup with meat (Nuhat šurva)
Rich meat soup is a real refreshment for the body. Try this Uzbek variant with dried peas.
Preparation steps
- Put the peas in cold water and leave to soak until the second day, then drain it.
- Put peas, diced carrots, sliced onions, bay leaf, peeled potatoes in a piece, meat cut into larger pieces and sliced bones in the pot.
- Pour water (about 1.5 liters), add Vegeta, salt and cook over low heat until the meat softens (about 1.5-2 hours).
- Remove the bones, bay leaf, salt and pepper if necessary.
Serving
Sprinkle with dill and coriander and serve warm.
Advice
If desired, you can add ground black pepper to the soup.
