Delicatessen salad
A recipe seen on TV in a culinary show. As much as I was interested I was so suspicious because I wasn’t used to such a combination of ingredients. Still, curiosity prevailed and what can I tell you? I’m happy I made a larger amount so I’ll have some left over for dinner as well. Otherwise, the salad can pass as a stand-alone meal (if you have a modest appetite)
Preparation steps
- Blanch the potatoes very briefly, never overcook them, cool them in cold water to interrupt the cooking process.
- Mix both types of cabbage, salt, pepper, pour over lemon and orange juice and pour over.
- Add the raisins (I hesitated a bit here because it wasn’t clear to me how to put the sweet raisins in the sour salad) and stir gently.
- Now add the cooled diced potatoes and yogurt and stir again lightly - best with your hands.
Serving
Cool the salad in the refrigerator before eating.
