Czech rolls

Czech Republic, Hungary ... and even ours ....

Preparation steps

  • Heat the milk, add the yeast and let it rise. When it grows, pour it into the bowl in which you will knead. Add melted margarine, eggs, lemon peel, vanilla sugar, salt, sugar and finally flour.
  • Put the dough in a warm place to rise. When it has grown, develop a thickness of half a cm. Cut the dough into a circle with a knife so that you get one long strip.
  • If you have small wooden rolls, if you can't use cardboard holders for napkins that you wrapped in aluminum foil. Coat the rolling pin with oil, then wrap the strip around the mold so that each subsequent roll slightly digs the previous one.
  • When you have rolled, coat with melted margarine and roll in crystal sugar (you can also roll in coconut, hazelnuts, or whatever you want ...), arrange in a deeper pan so that they do not touch the bottom, but are in the air, by placing the edges of the rolls on the rim of the pan. Bake at 180 degrees for 15-20 minutes in the oven that you have previously heated well. When they turn brown on the upper side, turn them over.
  • You can serve them so empty or fill as you wish .... also instead of the long strip you cut, you can tear off pieces of dough and roll the dough into a strip with your fingers, then wrap it regularly
