Curry squid
The century-old Chinese cult of food and good cuisine has survived to this day, so instead of the common greeting "Ni hao!", It is not uncommon to hear the question "Have you eaten yet?". And you, have you eaten curry squid yet?
Preparation steps
- Clean the squid and drain well. Cut them lengthwise (so you get squid cut into slices). Cut each sliced piece of squid in the shape of a mesh, but not to the end. Cut each piece of squid prepared in this way diagonally.
- Fry the squid briefly in heated wok oil, remove and place in a warm place.
- Fry sliced carrots and sliced onions in the same fat. Remove the vegetables and pour off the excess fat.
- Fry the garlic, ginger and sliced spring onions in the remaining fat.
- Returntheroasted squid and vegetables. Add the rice wine and corn starch, which you previously stirred with a little water, curry, and sesame oil.
- Mix everything well and simmer briefly.
Serving
Serve with cooked rice.
Advice
If you want a milder taste, use lighter sesame oil.
