Croissants
Forget croissants from bakeries and pastry shops, when you make your own - you will never have the desire to buy those again!
Preparation steps
- Whisk the dry yeast, sugar and a little warm milk and let it rise.
- In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt well. Add the risen yeast, lukewarm milk mixed with the oil, powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, lemon or orange zest and egg.
- Once you have kneaded the dough, divide it into 8 small balls. Roll out the dough into a circle Ø15-20 cm and place thinly sliced butter on it. Place the second round on it and repeat the process until the eighth round.
- Roll out the folded dough into a circle to a thickness of less than 1 cm. Cut into 4 parts, then each quarter again.
- Fill the croissants as desired (I personally used white and nougat linoleum or I played blank).
- Arrange the croissants on a baking sheet on baking paper and coat them with egg.
- Bake at 200 ° C for 20-25 minutes.
