Colorful punch cake
This cake probably looks like a modern dessert, but the recipe is very old. It seems to be very complicated to make, but in fact it is quite simple, and at the same time it is very tasty and aesthetically interesting. Try it!
Preparation steps
- Whisk the eggs (about 2 minutes), add sugar and stir for another 2 minutes. Then mix in flour and baking powder.
- Then, depending on the color, add vanilla pudding and bourbon vanilla sugar to the yellow biscuit, brown cocoa, chocolate pudding and vanilla sugar, and red raspberry pudding and extract.
- Bake the crusts separately one after the other, at about 180 ° C, for about 13 minutes. Bake in a tin size. 26cm.
- Cool the crusts, then cut them as in Figures 1 and 2. The middle circle is about 18 cm, and the smallest about 7.5 cm.
- For the syrup, mix all the ingredients except the rum and let it boil. Then strain and cool, then stir in the rum. It should be about 1, 5 liters of syrup.
- Put the first crust of colorful circles on a cake plate and frame the rim of the form, then pour about 500 ml of syrup, coat with half of the jam, then put the second crust of colorful circles, taking care that the circle below is not the same color, then do the same.
- And put the third crust of colorful circles on the karaj, also take care of the color, and pour the rest of the syrup. Leave the cake to rest overnight in the fridge.
- The next day, make the glaze: mix the listed ingredients and dissolve. Cool and pour over the cake. Sprinkle with colorful crumbs for decoration.
