Citronelli — Italian cookies with lemon jam or Lemon curd

Little sweet lemons

Preparation steps

  • Mix all ingredients (except jam) (preferably with your hands) and leave for 1 hour in a cool place. Preheat the oven to 170 C. Make small balls out of the dough. I weighed mine about 7-8 g per ball.
  • From the balls, make small sausages, 3 cm long, and arrange them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Press each with a small spoon or finger in the middle, to get a little indented, and shape into small lemons.
  • Put a little marmalade on each lemon. Bake in a preheated oven for 8-12 minutes.
  • While still warm, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  • P.S. You can make the jam yourself. It's very simple.
