Chocolate rum muffins

Preparation steps

  • Beat eggs and sugar well into a frothy mixture. Add melted margarine and stir.
  • Sift flour and add salt, cocoa and baking powder, stir. Alternately add milk mixed with rum and flour. DO NOT mix with a mixer but with a whisk. When everything is well combined, add the pieces of chocolate.
  • Fill greased molds a little more than halfway and place in a preheated oven at 190 ° C for 20 minutes.

Serving

Muffins will be tastier if you use Havana Club Añejo Especial rum because of its aroma of vanilla, honey and cinnamon. Of course, plain cake rum can also be substituted. Before serving, sprinkle with powdered sugar and pour over the liquid chocolate.
