Chocolate kuglof with orange
I promised one dear person (she will be recognized) that I would write a recipe for this fragrant and shocking kuglof before Easter.
Preparation steps
- Mix flour, cocoa, baking powder, salt, sugar and vanilla sugar in a bowl. Add eggs and milk and mix everything well with a mixer. Add butter and whisk into a smooth mixture. Finally add the zest and orange juice and chopped chocolate.
- Coat a 1.5 l kuglof mold with butter and sprinkle with bread crumbs. Pour the dough into a mold, place the oven in a preheated oven at 185 ° C (with a fan at 170 ° C) and bake for about 45 to 50 minutes (check with a wooden stick).
- Remove the kuglof from the oven and leave it in the mold for some 10 to 15 minutes. then move it to the rack and cool completely.
- Sprinkle the kuglof with powdered sugar. For the glaze, melt the sweet cream and a tablespoon of honey, pour over the chopped chocolate and add a teaspoon of butter. Pour chocolate glaze over the kuglof. Decorate with oranges if desired.
