Chocolate castle cake
For chocolate lovers, this cake is a great choice. It’s not too sweet, and it’s so juicy. It is not difficult to make, and can be used for any occasion.
Preparation steps
- Separate the egg yolks from the egg whites. Mix the egg yolks with the sugar until foamy. Lightly add the flour mixed with cocoa and baking powder, and finally lightly stir in the egg whites to which a little salt has been added during whipping. Pour the biscuit dough into a cake tin pre-greased and sprinkled with flour or lined with baking paper. Bake at 180 degrees for about 35 minutes. Cut the cooled dough into 3 parts.
- Separate 3 dcl of milk and add pudding powder and sugar. Boil the rest of the milk. Add the mixture to the boiled milk and stir constantly until it thickens. When the pudding is cooked, remove it from the heat and add the broken chocolate, and after 5 minutes until it melts a bit, mix it lightly with a mixer. When the cream has cooled, add the prepared margarine and mix until all the ingredients are combined. In another bowl, mix the sweet cream.
- Divide the chocolate cream as well as the sweet cream into 2 parts. Place the first biscuit crust on a tray, soak in chocolate milk if necessary, spread thinly with jam and coat with chocolate cream and then with sweet cream. Fold in another crust and lightly press to bind the creams. Repeat the procedure. If you have a filling left over, you can coat the whole cake.
- Leave the cake to harden a bit and then decorate as desired. This time I fulfilled the wish of a girl and made a castle.
Serving
With these ingredients, you get one cake (I usually make a round one in a 26 cm mold).
