Chocolate brownies by Jamie Oliver
I made small changes compared to the original recipe in terms of both the amount of ingredients and the making process.
Preparation steps
- Preheat the oven to 180 ° C. Line a baking tray (mine is 37x21 cm) with baking paper. Sift flour, cocoa and baking powder into a bowl.
- Put butter and chocolate in a bowl and melt over a very low heat or steam, stirring constantly until a smooth mixture is obtained. Remove from heat and allow to cool. The chocolate mixture should be warm.
- Mix eggs with sugar. When they thicken, add vanilla extract and pour in the hot chocolate, stirring gently. Finally, lightly mix the mixture with the cocoa. If desired, finally stir in the nuts with a spoon. In the original, nuts were added to the melted chocolate, but due to mixing, I left it for last. Pour into a pan and flatten and bake for max. 20 minutes, depending on the oven. The brownie is done when the crust is caught on top and along the edges, and the middle is still soft. It is best to prick the toothpick in the middle of the cake with a toothpick after 17 minutes, it should not come out clean, but not too wet. If the cake is gooey, bake some more. The cake should be juicy and sticky.
- Cool in a pan and cut into cubes.
