Chicory with anchovies

The slightly bitter taste of chicory and salty anchovies combined nicely into such a delicious side dish.

Preparation steps

  • Peeled chicory, wash well and chop.
  • Put in a pot of boiling water and boil briefly.
  • Wash the anchovies under water and chop them finely.
  • Fry the unpeeled clove of garlic in olive oil, add the anchovies and stir until well decomposed.
  • Stir in the chicory, season with salt and pepper and cook for another 5 minutes.

Serving

Serve hot.
