Chicken steaks à la minute and beans in Dalmatian style
When I don’t have a lot of time, this is how I prepare chicken breasts. In addition, there were beans today, so here is a recipe for a healthy and quick lunch, maybe it will come in handy for someone in the days when the idea of what to cook and not complicate disappears :-).
Preparation steps
- Dalmatian beans or beans 500 g green beans 3 medium potatoes 1 dl olive oil (amount is optional, but vegetables should be seasoned) salt, pepper 1 clove chopped garlic (optional) Peel the potatoes and cut into cubes to cook quickly , put in a pot with cold salted water and let it boil. In the meantime, clean the pods from the stalks at the ends, if they are as wide as the ones I found in the store today, cut them into 3-4 cm long pieces and add them to the potatoes as soon as the water boils. Cook for 10-15 minutes, until the beans are soft and drain the water. Leave about 1 dl of cooking water in the vegetables, add salt, a little pepper and pour over the olive oil. Mix well. Who likes, can add a little garlic.
- Chicken steaks à la minute From the pan immediately on the table :-) about 400 g chicken breast 1 teaspoon ground red pepper salt, pepper, oil While the beans are cooking, prepare the steaks for frying. Cut the chicken breast into smaller, thin slices (about 1 cm thick). Arrange them on the board where you cut them, sprinkle with ground red pepper, a little pepper and if you want, add a pinch of some spicy herbs, but not much. Then cover them with plastic, transparent foil and instead of a meat stick, take the pan or pot that is at hand and lightly beat them a little with the bottom of the pan or pot to make it stand. That way the meat will not be damaged. Cook the beans and potatoes, set the table and only then heat a little oil in the pan (just enough to cover the bottom), place the steaks on the hot oil and fry for a few minutes on each side. Since the meat is thin, it doesn’t need to be longer. In this way, the meat will remain juicy, and the red pepper will give it a nice color. When you see that the steaks are nicely fried, only then add salt and pan to the table. Good luck to you.
