Carter's snicle
As far as I know, the recipe comes from North America and this dish was actually made for the former President of the United States, Jim Carter ko. So says the "legend" ... but I think they lie and that this excellent dish was invented by my grandmother: D
Preparation steps
- Put the chicken in a pot, pour water over it and put it on a heated stove to boil.
- Meanwhile, fry the onion and finely chopped bacon, and at the end add the finely chopped garlic. Add oil only if the bacon has too little fat. When the onion turns brown, remove from the heat.
- Remove the chicken from the boiling water and allow to cool slightly. Take a fireproof dish and pour a little oil (fat) from the pan into it and spread it with a brush on the dish. When cool, separate the chicken into smaller pieces with your fingers (thumb size…). Arrange the ingredients on the bottom of the bowl in the following order: a row of chicken, which is salted, peppered, curry and oregano to taste, then a row of fried bacon and onion and a row of grated cheese. Arrange until the material runs out. Finally, grate the cheese again and spread 1, 5 to 2 cups of sour cream over it so that it covers the entire surface of the dish. Grate the remaining cheese over the sour cream again. Preheat the oven to 150C, then place the fireproof dish on the lower level. Since this dish is half done before putting it in the oven, it doesn’t take long to bake. When you see that the cheese on the top has turned red (not burnt!), It's over.
