Carrot and poppy seed cake
Swiss carrot cake, enriched with poppy seeds to my taste .. Explosion of aromas :)
Preparation steps
- Mix eggs and sugar with a mixer. The mixture does not have to be thick and frothy, it is enough that the eggs are finely beaten and the sugar is combined.
- In a bowl, mix all other dry ingredients and carrots except the poppy seeds. Add to them a mixture of eggs and sugar. You melted chilled margarine.
- Divide the mixture into two parts. Insert one hundred grams of poppy seeds into one. Pour into the mold first one and then the other and with a toothpick, knife or fork make a pattern as for a marble kuglof / stake.
- These measures are suitable for a 30 cm long mold
Serving
Drizzle the baked cake with chocolate or sugar glaze or just sprinkle with powdered sugar.
