Cake Lana variant with chocolate

Here is another combination of mine, and since it is very tasty and creamy, I believe that you will also like it with hazelnuts. In addition to being delicious, it is quite easy to make, so I recommend it to you, and only egg whites are used for it, so it is suitable to consume the egg whites that you have left over from another recipe.

Preparation steps

  • For the dough, whisk the egg whites with the sugar, add the ground walnuts and flour and bake 2 crusts at 200C or eat in a larger pan and divide lengthwise.
  • For the filling, whisk the pudding powder with the sugar, vanilla and a little milk and cook in the remaining milk. Cover with a transparent foil so that no crust forms, and when it cools down, mix it with 1/2 l of whipped sweet cream, divide it in half and add melted chocolate and a little rum to one half.
  • Whisk 2 layers according to the instructions from the bag and add hazelnuts
  • Pour dark filling on the first crust, then 1/2 layer with hazelnuts, second crust, light filling, 1/2 layer with hazelnuts and the remaining two layers on top. Garnish with chocolate topping or as desired
