Cake decorations, vases
These in the picture are made of fondant, they can last longer than rubber because they dry better and are less sensitive to moisture. They can be made a few days in advance, the vases are simple, the flowers are a little more complicated :) Since I will use the vases in various variants of floral decorations, here I will put a special process of making.
Preparation steps
- I put the procedure for making gummy glue here earlier.
- For a vase with a marble effect, first mix the white fondant well, and especially mix the colored fondant (blue, dark green and light green for the vase in the picture). stretch a little, combine the colors and mix very little so that the colors do not merge completely and form a teardrop shape. Wrap the end of the small rolling pin with transparent foil and then drill a hole in the vase. Stretch the ends a little to get an irregular bent edge.
- For a white vase, also shape the shape of a tear, make a cavity with a small rolling pin but in this case separately roll out a thicker white fondant for the edge and connect it to the body of the vase on the inside. Mask the joint with colored tape. Then make flowers, either with your free hand or with the help of a mold, as in the picture. Coat the flowers on the underside with "rubber" glue and glue them to the vase.
- Vases are left to dry well, they look like this. You can spray the dried vases with oil to get a nice shine as in the picture.
- Ready-made vases can be used for various floral decorations.
