Bundek biscuits
For the Bundekijada, I envisioned making Salty Snacks from Cheese, but it turned out to be something else clean. The tasters say they liked it!
Preparation steps
- Mix the flour in equal parts, sift with baking powder. Add softened butter, cottage cheese and a pinch of salt. Make a homogeneous, uniform dough. Leave the dough in a cool place for at least two hours.
- Sprinkle the dough with plenty of powdered sugar (I thought I was using flour, but due to the small hours I didn't notice that the "flour" doesn't behave as it should) and roll the dough on the sugar bar with a relief roller at about 0.5 cm.
- Cut into various shapes, coat with egg yolk sprinkle with chopped peanuts. Bake in a preheated oven for about 17 minutes / 200 C.
Serving
The powdered sugar finely caramelizes and coats the biscuit. All this gives an unusual taste. When I discovered the substitute I thought of throwing it all away, but I remembered Una’s coconut and rice recipe, then the peach sandwich pa .so I tried…. It was edible!
