Bullars with various fillings
This isn’t really some new recipe, just variations on classic Swedish bullars stuffed with cinnamon and sugar.
Preparation steps
- Make a dough for the bullar
- Prepare the filling
- Divide the dough into 3 parts
- For apple filling
- grate the apples, mix in the sugar and cinnamon and grate the almond mixture and combine it all (or chopped walnuts)
- Roll out the dough, coat with the filling, roll and slice and place in paper baskets
- Let it rest
- For chocolate filling
- Roll out the dough, pre-mold in half, like these, coat with a little margarine and then melted chocolate - or nutella. Cut into strips, twist and make a knot. Lay them in paper baskets and let them rest
- For filling with blueberries
- Roll the dough into a rolling pin, cut it into pieces and make balls and place it in paper baskets
- when they have grown make a small indentation and fill it with blueberry jam
- Coat the bullare with apples and chocolate with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sugar.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 225`C for 8-10 minutes
- Bullare with blueberries when baked dipped in melted margarine and sprinkle with sugar
