roses according to an old recipe

Preparation steps

  • in 150 ml of milk put 20 g of fresh yeast, a teaspoon of sugar and a pinch of salt and in a bowl stir 350 ml of milk and half a kilo of lard
  • add 3 egg yolks and flour as needed to make a smooth and fine mass
  • leave to rise cover with a cloth then spread the dough on the work surface and cut into cubes
  • put a spoonful of filling in the middle and bend the ends on each side so that it looks like roses
  • put the baking paper in the pan and bake the roses until they get a nice yellow color
  • fil-3 egg whites 4-5 teaspoons of sugar and 150 g of ground walnuts mix with a mixer
