Buhtle with jam
An old recipe with leavened dough, stuffed with traditional plum jam. It immediately takes you back to your childhood!
Preparation steps
- Add yeast, salt, sugar, egg, egg yolk, lemon sugar, melted butter to the flour and knead the dough by adding warm milk. Place it in an oiled pan, cover and leave on warm to rise until the volume has doubled (about 1 hour).
- Then roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into squares. Put a teaspoon of jam on each and bend the ends and squeeze well.
- Place the buns in a buttered baking pan lined with baking paper. Let them stand for 20 minutes, then bake in an oven preheated to 200 ° C for 35-40 minutes.
- Brush warm with butter. When it stands for a while, take it out on the grill to cool completely.
Serving
The buns are best still warm, but these will stay soft and juicy the next day as well.
