Brownie millet cake
Easy to prepare, light and flour-free extra fine chocolate dessert. The recipe is from http://foodiona.com/zdrava-jela/brownie-torta-od-prosa/
Preparation steps
- Boil millet in 2 cups of water and add water during cooking if necessary. Put the cooked millet in a strainer to drain off the excess liquid and let it cool.
- Put the cooled millet in a blender or similar device (I used Nutribullet) and add milk, honey, coconut oil / butter and eggs. Mix everything until a fine smooth cream is formed. Then transfer the mixture to a bowl and add coconut, cocoa and chopped walnuts. Mix everything well with a spatula to combine and put in a round mold lined with greaseproof paper. Bake at 180 degrees for about 40-50 min. I’m even almost 1h because I was afraid it would be too wet a cake. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
- Spread the ganache on the cooled cake (heat the whipping cream - it must not boil, then add the chocolate and garnish with blanched almonds, coconut or some other nuts of your choice. Once again put the cake in the fridge to squeeze the ganache and then it is ready to serve. :)
