Bosnian halva

Most of them have forgotten what halva is, but for some this is a more significant Hijri New Year, and on the eve of the New Year, halva is made. Here's my halvice :)

Preparation steps

  • Melt 100 g of butter, when the butter is completely melted, add 100 g of flour ... Stir constantly for about 10 minutes without stopping, take good care because the halva burns very easily. The mixture is about the same as in the picture, just waiting to get a whitish color.
  • In another bowl, put 200 ml of water and 100 g of sugar + a bag of extra sugar, put it on the wheel and let it boil, when the mixture with flour and butter is ready (meaning when you get a beige color) add to the serpis (water and sugar) what you need it boiled. Watch your hands because it can bite. Allow the mixture to cover with a lid for about 10 seconds, so that it does not spray you, and stir immediately so that no lumps form.
  • Take the halva out into a plate with a spoon and put it in the fridge to cool down a bit, I prefer that way. Sprinkle with walnuts or coconut as desired. PLEASANT!
