Surprise yourself, your family, and your guests with this traditional old-fashioned cake with sour milk ...))
Preparation steps
- Mix the flour with salt, baking soda or baking powder. Add sour milk and lukewarm water to the dry mixture.
- Transfer the dough to a floured work surface, then work (knead) it with your hands, and occasionally coat your palms with oil. The dough should be soft and pliable.
- Shape the dough into 3-balls, spread it out, and arrange in a larger baking sheet (preferably the size of an oven).
- The tin where the bread will be baked must always be larger than the shaped dough.
- Bake the cakes at 200C for about 40 minutes.
- When they are baked, lightly spray them with cold water and cover with a kitchen towel.
Serving
Bosnian bread is eaten hot, and serve it with kajmak. Our ancestors say that bread is never cut with a knife, but you break it with your hand.
