Boščaluci aunt Rade
This recipe was given to me by my dear aunt Rada, a versatile and wonderful woman, a lawyer, a housewife, a seamstress… :), I wouldn't care what she does and crafts everything tako and so simple and sweet, just like her favorite candy… boscaluci… her in honor… and sweetness… :)
Preparation steps
- Separate the egg whites and egg yolks. Whisk the egg yolks with the sugar, a little salt, gradually add the milk, flour, baking powder, add the flour while the mixer can stir, then continue to knead by hand, the dough should be soft, then stretch it to approximately 50 × 50cm and coat it with softened butter or margarine, fold on both sides, let it stand for a while (optional) and stretch it again to the same size. Cut into strips lengthwise, transversely, 5 × 5 strips, then place on the obtained squares firmly on a spoon whipped egg whites. Assemble four pieces in the middle, ie make small bundles (boscaluke), squeeze the pieces together a little so that they do not open. Fry in oil at a medium temperature, take out on paper, sprinkle with powdered sugar, vanilla sugar (optional).
Serving
If you want, you can add sugar to the egg whites who likes sweeter (I'm not), walnuts, or whatever you want, although for me this basic recipe is very nice, simple and tasty, so I wouldn't change anything. cold nice, but also the next day with a pinch of milk will be a nice breakfast or snack :)
