Bob with bulgur and sausage

My first recipe. After major health problems, I realized that I need to eat more whole grains. I often prepare this in the winter and since I did not come across something similar here, I decided to publish it. I wandered for a long time until I made something with bulgur and everyone in the family .Husband says it reminds him of mom's orzo ... just to find out what orzo is :-) The recipe is simple and ordinary for chefs with some kind of experience ... this is for young moms who are still looking for ideas: - *

Preparation steps

  • In a frying pan, sauté the onion in olive oil, after it becomes glassy, add the grated carrots and celery root.
  • When the vegetables have softened, add the beans. I am one of those who peel beans (to the general disgust of the Dalmatian part of the family :-)), so my children eat it better. If you like it with the peel, feel free to leave it. If you peel it, just soak in boiling water for 1 min, so it will be easier to take off his shirt.
  • When the bob has warmed up, add the sausage, cut into pieces ... however you want ... and simmer until everything is warm. Season with vegeta, salt, pepper ... whatever you want and as you like. Be careful not to overdo it because the sausage will release its spices.
  • After 5-6 minutes, cover with water so that everything floats.
  • After it has boiled and connected, add the bulgur. it takes him so long to soften.
  • While you are preparing a meal for your baby, which should be over 8 months old, put carrots, korab, beans and a piece of meat (I have lamb muscle) in water to cook. When the soup is ready, add buckwheat (bulgur contains gluten and it is coarser than buckwheat), cook for another 10 minutes.
  • And finally, mix everything together for your baby into a fantastic, tasty and healthy porridge!
