Blitva and Sardines visiting Zagreb: D

Looking for something that will be done quickly, healthy, low-calorie and to remind me of my love in Split, I met Blitva and Sardine ... Charming ladies, I must say, won my heart and I will invite them to some socializing again :) Good luck :) ))

Preparation steps

  • Fill a large pot halfway with water and put it to heat. Clean about half a kilo of chard by removing only the ends with a knife. Clean 3 potatoes and cut them into larger cubes as shown in the picture and all at the same time with chard put to boil in a pot that you have previously filled with water. If the chard is young, it will be cooked in about 25 minutes, but it is best to see the potatoes when it is cooked, then it is chard. Drain it in a strainer and season with olive oil, garlic, salt and parsley if desired :)
  • clean the sardines, remove their heads and rinse them. Then put a couple of slices of lemon in the wider bowl, sardines on them, and again a couple of slices of lemon and sardine over them (depending on how much you work). Fill the bowl with just enough water to cover the lemons and sardines. Add a little olive oil and garlic and cook for 15 minutes.
  • Take out the sardines on a plate and sprinkle a little parsley, garlic and olive oil over them, you can also decorate with slices of lemon with which you cooked the sardines. Add chard and enjoy the flavors of the Adriatic :)
