Bishop's bread

Preparation steps

  • Mix the sugar and egg yolks until the mixture is frothy. Then add the grated orange peel, sliced ​​walnuts or almonds, raisins and diced chocolate.
  • Mix well, then alternately add the smooth flour and solid egg whites. Mix everything carefully and pour into a greased and floured mold (size 30 × 10 cm).
  • Bake for about 40 minutes at 190 ° C.

Serving

Shake the baked cake out of the mold and sprinkle it with vanilla powdered sugar.

Advice

For a change, you can replace raisins with candied fruit.
